We handle defense of computer-related crimes like internet solicitation, child pornography and white collar crimes in Columbia and throughout South Carolina.
Consequences for possession of child pornography are extremely harsh, even for a first offense. Most child pornography cases are charged as sexual exploitation of a minor. There are three degrees: third degree which is possession, second degree which is distribution, and first degree which is manufacturing. Most child pornography charges include at least one count of distribution (second degree), since the images are often housed on file-sharing sites. South Carolina has mandatory prison time for first- and second-degree charges.
